Since his firm’s founding in 1995, Bill Ingram has been designing timeless homes. His style naturally moved its way to Lake Martin, and The India Davis Team had the unique opportunity to work with him on four lots at The Ridge in 2005. Fifteen years later, these homes remain stunning, as their distinctive architecture was undoubtedly the incredible design of one of the Southeast’s most extraordinary architects.
Here’s how this project got started: A real estate investor/contractor contacted The India Davis team to scout out some property for speculative waterfront homes. They located a huge parcel on Old Tree Road, central to Lake Martin and near the Overlook area across from Chimney Rock. Mike and India thought that this property could be separated into four homesites. Another requirement of this project was creating a distinctive grouping of lakehouses with the same floorplan. Enter Bill Ingram. Mike and India knew Bill Ingram was the architect capable of parceling the homesites in such a way that would maximize the views and privacy of each. They also knew of Bill’s unique ability to create a one-of-a-kind look.

The India Davis Team
Four jewels were born over the course of The Old Tree Road project which segued into another collaborative project at one of Russell Land’s premier developments–The Ridge.
Again, a group of real estate investors came to The India Davis Team to purchase four separate lots for speculative houses in the Highlands section of The Ridge. The company wanted to ensure each lake home would be unique and desirable. India & Mike knew immediately who they wanted to contact to do the architectural design—Bill Ingram.
The India Davis Team has gained immeasurable knowledge and experience from each of these collaborative efforts. Few realtors undergo the extensive process of lot purchase, site planning and architectural design. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Bill and continue to enjoy passing by these beauties when we are on the boat cruising beautiful Lake Martin.
